Lately,I've been clashing with myself..street fashion vs office fashion..Going to the office for me is a fun thing since am not restricted to official dress code..but at the same time,i don't want to appear a little too casual.
My dilemma?shopping in a place where both casual smart and official are so appealing i usually end up leaving with pieces of incomplete outfights.An official top here and a funky jeans there.
Since am nice like that,let me help you out maybe then i can figure out what i which side i want to be on..so for those official looks ladies ;
Am sure by now you've figured am a die hard fan of dresses.Thing is,my body works wonders with dressed, that's what makes it soo easy for me to look amazing any day. If you can find what makes you look good always then you've hit jack pot.Get some professional advice on your body type,how to dress it,and from there you'll see how easy it is for you to make a statement without trying so hard...
Just because you're going to the office does not mean you're fashion is buried under the black and white official look..try something different.Get more bold colors but with a professional feel.
The second image with the dresses is official,add a blazer and voila...
Being decent is the first thing you want to maintain..so don't let it be too short or again too long,unless you're pulling a maxi on a weekend shift like i do.
I love brown,its amazing with yellow as you can see...very popping.
Here are my 5 rules in office fashion.
1.Less is more,the less you show,the more fashionable you look.Don't show too much cleavage,if you have to,let it be decent,same to legs,slightly above the knee anything beyond that may not go well with management
2.Make a statement.if you have to use jewelery,let it be minimal..use either a set of earrings,a neck piece not the whole set.Its an office you're going to deary...
3.color color color..that is my golden rule!!! you can not be dressed in all the dullest colors in the world from Monday to Friday play with colors.am not a fan of pink but judging from the piece above..am liking it very much,and it made me get a scarf that's hot pink,Lord knows how it makes me feel..one word..awesome!!! someone please a high 5....
4.Shoez babie..they have to be a pair that match what you are wearing. black will match with anything,but again,let loose a little..you'll be surprised at what this can do to your confidence
5.confidence.yes that's what it means,walking with your head up high and an ego to match it you will make anyone want to be you..hell even dress like you..
