MOVING ON UP...3 INCHES AND ABOVE

                              
   Heels are a girl’s best friend, I’d know, we have moments all the time, I have so many pairs my dad used to tease me about them, but again I take after my mum; a self confessed shoe-holic. She has so many shoes even I can’t keep count anymore.
 But going back to heels, these babies are very sensitive, they either work for you or they don’t. We all want to be in heels to feel sexy, add the little extra height (can I get a high five on that one!!) or to complete you’re look. Whichever the reason, you want to come out of the house looking stunning, wobbling you’re way through the streets; or walking like you’re heels have nails in them..

      Trust me, around work I get a lot of “how do you walk in those heels?” comments/questions and ‘why don’t you teach Samantha* how to walk in them, she looks like she’s falling over in heels (*not real name for anonymity’s sake)
So here are some basics on how to wear and walk in heels. We don’t want any mishaps like tripping on the side walk as you try figure out which foot goes first with your darling 6 inch heels

1. Make sure the heel fits, and you’re comfortable in. And by fit I mean it’s your size, yes ladies, nothing smaller or bigger.
2. Have a manageable heel, I mean don’t wear a 6 inch and we all know you can’t walk in them. Think about it this way, if an Egypt/Tunisia occurred, would you be able to run in them? (Yes I said an Egypt, blame it on twitter slang)
3. Always have a pair of flats with you; well that’s pretty much common knowledge, since there comes a time when you need to dash around the office, and heels are just not the way; especially if your office has as many sets of stairs cases as mine does..
4. The average heel size is between 2.5-3.5 inches.so If you have a 4-6-heck even 7 inch heel, then you might want to add some Gel heel liners,they cushion you from the over stretching,slipping,new shoe-sores and allow you to enjoy the bliss of being all the way up there.i bought this one today,because i kept slipping out of my shoes,i hope they'll hold me in them...lol

HOW TO WALK IN HEELS
    If you have all those in check, then this will be easy to achieve. ’the awesome walk’ I call it.
Push your chest out, hold your stomach in and keep your head straight.

     When you take your first step, put your toe down first, then shift your weight backwards onto the heel. Don’t cross your legs over when walking, and take big, straight strides (think cat-walking without the criss-crossing of the legs); not too fast, take your time for each step. If you walk too fast then you’re at risk of speed wobble, which will result to you…well how do I put this, making a total fool of yourself.

So no more weird ‘almost wobble tipping over’ kind of walk, since I’ve shared heel secrets. It will take time to get used to, but when you finally master it, you’ll never wobble again. promise...if you do,well just call me,i'll walk with you till you get it
